So yesterday was st. patricks day as i'm sure all of you knew. and up here at cmu, it is tradition for the cafeterias to serve special food on special occasions. for example they had a thanksgiving dinner, christmas dinner and even a valentines day dinner. i have learned to be skeptical of these days as the food is tends to be disapointing. so when i heard that they were having a st patrick's day dinner, i did not enter the cafeteria feeling confident i would get a very filling meal.
boy was i wrong
they had everything Irish you could think of. being the good Irish boy i am, i headed straight for the corned beef and cabbage. it was not as good as mom's but it was tasty enough for me to have 2 helpings of. they also had 3 or 4 different kinds of potatoes, all of which were very good considering it is college dorm food.
overall, i was very impressed with the dinner and hope its just as good next year

I've been to every dorm Thanksgiving dinner except this last year. It's the only time the food is worth eating.
I'm glad I can outcook a dorm at least for one meal.
